#Friday. Thanks to The 405′s soundcloud we’ve been reminded of a tune (What Seems To Be) that we liked a lot on first listen but somehow instantly forgot about right after we heard it. Sad how that can happen, but such is the fickle nature of our present day listening habits that it’s becoming an all too frequent occurrence. We thought we’d try and redeem ourselves slightly by posting a link to In One Wind’s album before we get lost in Friday night. So Here It Is.

#Wednesday. So where are we now? It’s getting harder and harder to figure out what musical decade we’re supposed to be in. Back in the ’80′s with a worn out JAMC tape bleeding from the walkman? Over indulging in J.Spaceman circa ’92? Maybe even digging out that copy of Engineers that we were quite excited about until it got synched in a shampoo commercial and was ruined forever? Despite all the time/space confusion we’re feeling, it’s comforting that albums like ‘Spooky Action At A Distance’ are finding their way into the light. We haven’t yet forced ourselves to listen to the new Spiritualized album (largely for fear of the near certain disappointment that will follow), but good or bad the second album by Deerhunter guitarist Pundt’s Lotus Plaza project carries no such weight of expectation for us – and those that it does carry it is exceeding quite nicely.

#Friday. We’ve always been partial to a bit of old school around here. Throw Geoff Barrow into the mix and we were bound to be sold. That said, since grabbing a copy of the Quakers album last month, we haven’t found ourselves going in for the repeat listen quite as often as we thought we would. Maybe it’s the seemingly infinite (41 song) tracklist playing tricks on us. Either way War Drums remains a top pick. Give us another month or so and we might just have figured out our views on the rest of it.

#Wednesday. So what’s the best music to listen to when dealing with the aftermath of a malicious hacking exercise that’s using up way more of your life than it should to resolve? The debate rages on in GPS HQ. But in the meantime …
