#Friday. A few short listens to ‘Who’ by David Byrne & St. Vincent from the ‘Love This Giant’ collaboration (re which grab a free download of ‘Who’ via the link here), and we could not stop ourselves from recalling ‘Uh Oh’ from the vaults for the god-knows-how-many-eth time once again. One of the least weird tracks on a great big weird pop record that still sounds utterly idiosyncratic 20 years down the line, ‘Hanging Upside Down’ was never our favourite tune from the record but it’s still quite excellent. And oddly enough we’re not feeling that weird right now, so it seems to fit the bill pretty well.

#Monday. Starting out with a brilliant combo of classically weird vocal sample and squeaky 80s keys front and center in the mix, this is another one of those tracks that arguably peaks in its first 15 seconds. But the whole recording is so god darned day-glo-friendly, that even if it doesn’t quite become the perfect summertime listen we were hoping for on initial listen it still gets close enough to the score line to warrant more than a few repeat listens.

#Friday. Quite possibly prophetic after all the magnificent weather in UKland of late. Shame this video is not the full length album version, but still one of our favourites from one of the most (understandably) praised records of the year so far. Is it weird that the Donna Summer sampling outro still makes us feel a little too sad inside? Probably.
